It is commonly rendered as Excellence in action is Yoga, conveying the belief that the highest form of discipline lies in the quality of one’s work. The phrase originates from Sri Krishna’s discourse with Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita. In its wider philosophical context, the verse emphasises equanimity of mind, urging one to act without attachment to outcomes. Such balance enables focused effort, free from distraction. This equanimity, the Gita asserts, is the foundation of perfection in action and the path towards fulfilment.
